Reflecting on the past year and all that I am grateful for - there have been both peaks and valleys and both are essential for growth in both my personal life and my business.

Yes, even the difficult times ... as much as I wish they didn't happen.

I feel you have to feel and move through the emotion behind both triumphs and struggles. I have felt like I didn't do enough in my personal life as a wife, mom, friend as well as in my Monat business - I felt like I didn't do enough as a leader.

I did do enough because something I know to be true is that contrast shows us what we do want and what we don't want. I found that when we embrace the peaks for all that they are and not beat ourselves up for not staying in that experience, we understand that if we lived in a constant state of peaks, life would be boring.

I also found that by loving and appreciating the peaks, cheering myself on for those achievements, I expect more of them and I know they will come.
