Gratitude and negative thoughts cannot co-exist because as what you focus on grows.
The effects of practicing gratitude are not immediate, but over time, consciously practicing gratitude every day can help neural pathways strengthen and create a permanent grateful + positive nature within ourselves.
Instead of doubting yourself, start celebrating your achievements. It's easy to spiral into all that you haven't done, all that you aren't, all that you (fill in the blank).
What if you jotted down all that you HAVE achieved?
It's actually something I do when I start focusing on the gap between where I am and where I aspire to be.
And then I get emotional because when I look at how far I have come in many aspects of my life, it is in that that I see my progress. My growth.
I am also reminded I am a work in progress. We all are.
Gratitude will help move you forward in 2022 - and every year that is to come.
